Day 5

The art of meditation is cultivated and refined with every practice. It evolves with the evolving ego. And within a very short span of time new methods are intuitively developed to guide the earnest student on the eternal journey back to the source.

One may notice, for example, that the breath cycles in a soothing rhythm, not unlike that of one who is sleeping. The heart beat likewise slows. The more one’s mind approaches that of a blank canvas awaiting soul impression, the more one will notice the body shutting down. This is one major benefit of the daily practice.

To be awake, vital and focussed, and yet remain perfectly still, brings about lasting change, renewed health and purpose.

Do not underestimate the profound growth that takes place, especially in the early stages. You may not be aware of it at first. But, just as the sun magically appears in the early morning sky, so too shall the efforts you make on a daily basis work their magic within you.
