Day 8

The tests and trials of meditation are many. But they serve to bring about lasting change. One may oscillate between a perceived successful attempt and an otherwise mediocre one.

Different senses will be engaged and affected in the process. But, in reality, there are no successes or failures, and neither are desired. It is the middle ground, the central path, that must be sought.

And so it is in daily living. Whether one is conscious of it or not, that which is sensed is either classified as subservient to one’s position; a blade of grass in a field of green upon which to walk, a vegetable to consume, a man of lesser intelligence to be educated, or it is classified as something to be revered; a lion in the jungle, an officer of the law, a public figure of power and influence.

But there are so such classifications in the spiritual realm. All of life is representative of the collective whole. We are all one.

Keep this simple truth close to your heart, and witness a profound change in the way you live your life.
