Communiqué
30 July 2010
Keeping an open mind is easy for a child; all is new and exciting, and much is as yet unknown. But as we age and grow accustom to our lives intact, it is far more difficult to view changing circumstances with the same enthusiasm.
Change is often treated with caution as it threatens to disrupt one from a comfort zone that has taken months, if not years, to manifest, and which now rules the roost, sight unseen.
So how does one reinvent the self that stood in awe upon discovery of the simplest things? B simply being still, both in body and in mind, and awaiting stimulation external, one will find that dew drops of inspiration filter through, and creative juices will be enlivened to assist one to see a larger view and other possibilities anew.
Practice mimicking a child at play. Remember how it was for you in those early days. You have not lost those carefree ways, they have merely been forgotten, relegated to a deep, dark space awaiting rejuvenation once again. You will be amazed at what you rediscover within yourself; the ability to let go, and embrace all life with verve.
And, as you do, new avenues will open up in time and present you with opportunities you may never have considered otherwise. Be gentle with yourself throughout this process. Know that a reawakening to your inner self may cause initial pain as you thus remember all the yesterdays spent denying yourself the sweeter things in life.
But time will heal all wounds, however deep, and you will soon be primed to reap rewards aplenty as you open to the all that is your destiny, your future tall.
